Hipps’ attorney takes issue with Solicitor

The attorney for Tucker Hipps’ parents took issue this afternoon with the conclusions drawn by the circuit solicitor of the credibility of a man who came forward to offer information that might pertain to the Clemson student’s death.  Attorney Jennifer Spragins Burnett said, “We could not disagree more with Ms. Adams’ opinions regarding the credibility of the new witness or the witness’s statements. We have sincere hope that the people of this community will refrain from drawing conclusions until all the evidence has been presented.”  Like Solicitor Chrissy Adams, Burnett requests anyone with information about the events of September 22, 2014 and the death of Tucker Hipps to please contact the Oconee County Sheriff’s Department.”  The attorney’s statement concludes this way, “The Hipps family is extremely grateful to each of the witnesses who had the courage to come forward and remain hopeful that the truth will be revealed about the death of their son.” Burnett represents Cynthia and Gary Hipps.
