Hipps parents file lawsuit

emson student Tucker Hipps have filed a lawsuit seeking $25 million dollars in damages against the university and the fraternity to which the student belonged. Newspapers are publishing accounts of the lawsuit this morning and one paper, the Independent Mail, says the lawsuit claims Hipps died after a confrontation over his failure to give fraternity brothers 30 McDonald’s biscuits, 30 orders of hash browns and two gallons of chocolate milk. Hipps disappeared last September after an early morning run near the campus and is death remains under investigation by law enforcement.
