Homeowner and defendant called to testify

Another defendant in Stoneledge versus IMK Development and others took the stand today in the Oconee Common Pleas Court. The lawyer for Stoneledge townhouse owners called home builder Rick Thoeness. The home builder’s company, Marick Construction, became involved in the project to build and sell Stoneledge town homes, after the original builder, Bostic Brothers Construction, left the project. Thoennes admitted that he hired a water-proofing company to exam leaks to town home decks. But when questioned by his attorney, Thoennes said he did not consider what went wrong at the project was as “pervasive” as made out to be in the trial earlier. The builder was followed to the stand by one of the plaintiffs, Michael Furnari. He and his wife, Donna, are among the plaintiffs seeking damages in the case.
