Howiler to leave the OMC board

December 13, 2013

A change in leadership is ahead for the policy-making board at Oconee Medical Center. Dr. Bill Howiler, the current board chairman, is ineligible for re-appointment to the board after completing two straight four-year terms. A hospital spokesman says Howiler’s replacement will be voted on during the board’s January meeting. Walhalla resident Thelma Miller currently serves as board vice-chairwoman.
