Hungry burglar in Salem

The burglar that made his way into a store in Salem early yesterday morning was hungry. In the incident, the Dollar General on Main Street lost beef jerky and other snack items that carried a value of under $2 thousand. A deputy sheriff who responded to the crime found evidence of a burglary and blood on both the door and the floor. Authorities say an arrest has been made. Law enforcement records identify Travis Keith Hyatt, 23-year old resident of the Stamp Creek Road, as having been arrested and charged with burglary second degree and larceny.
