“I feel a big, obstructed barrier….”

Lyn Morrey in front of Oconee County Council said she felt “a big, obstructed barrier right here”—meaning  there should be more of a one-on-one interaction between the councilmen and their constituents. Morrey, a retired naval officer, said one reason she can’t at this time recommend Oconee as a retirement destination are the bad vibrations she feels between council and audience. Later council members said they are available to speak with individuals or groups when asked, but District Five’s Reg Dexter sought to dispel a misconception as to inter-play between council and citizens during regular meetings.  Those comments are being carried today on 96.3/WGOG NEWS.
