In Westminster, to build or not to build?

For decades, Westminster’s recreation program has provided fun and competition for thousands of youngster—professional sports stars Andy Lee and Jared Burton, among them. But like a lot of towns, Westminster has begun to think about the future. The city council met last night apparently to discuss ideas. “The feeling right now is that we may need to enlarge our facilities or improve them to some degree, so the city is looking for an architect to maybe help us decide do we need to do something and, if we do, what that something might entail,” David Smith, city administrator, told 96.3/WGOG NEWS. At least one city councilman, Rusty Cater, believes Westminster needs a second indoor recreation facility, to complement the M-D Cleveland Recreation Center on Anderson Avenue.
