Incident on the 700 block of S. Oak

The police in Seneca today were preparing charges as part of a further investigation of a traffic stop late yesterday afternoon on S. Oak Street near 7th Street. The police say they seized marijuana after an officer approached a stopped car and an officer smelled burned marijuana. According to the police, a plastic bag containing 7.7 grams of a green leafy substance was confiscated from a passenger. One officer suffered a sprained foot and bruised knee while attempting to arrest one of the suspects.
