Industry park prospect called “solid”

Besides Michelin, there’s word that Oconee County has prospects for at least two more economic development projects. And last night Scott Moulder, the county administrator, referred to a concrete prospect for the Seneca Rail Site, property which the county and the city are partnering to develop into an industrial park. Moulder told members of an Oconee County Council committee that the possible timeline for the Seneca Rail Site prospect is a couple of months. Earlier last night, in an interview with 96.3/WGOG NEWS, county economic development recruiter Richard Blackwell was non-committal about talk of two additional economic development prospects, but made it clear that the county’s pipeline (of potential projects) looks good right now.
