Industry park to get first occupants

 

Announcements were made today that Oconee’s newest industrial park is getting its first occupants.  According to an announcement from Columbia during the noon hour, Baxter Enterprises, a Michigan automotive supplier, and Hi Tech Mold and Engineering companies are establishing operations in the Oconee Industry and Technology Park on highway 11.  They plan to go into business there in an 87 thousand square foot facility, with High-Tech Mold and Engineering occupying 17,500 square feet.  The companies plan an investment of more than $20.5 million and 87 jobs over the next five years.  Those interested in employment should visit www.baxterent.com as well as www.hitecmold.com.  Baxter Enterprises and High-Tech Mold and Engineering are described as complementing operations.  Baxter makes injection molded parts; High Tech Mold and Engineering designs, builds and repairs molds and provides mold services.
