Investors to be sought for hotel project

December 31, 2013

Financing to pull off the conversion of the former Oconee Courthouse into a boutique-type hotel remains a problem as the year 2013 winds to a close. But John Powell and his partner intend to pursue a new strategy early next year. “We’re going to be having a meeting in February to invite anyone who would be interested in maybe being a partner in that,” Powell told 96.3/WGOG NEWS. He says there have been many requests from members of the public for the chance to buy shares or invest in the project.
