“It’s been interesting!”

If you are an official weather observer for the federal government, no doubt you have found the times we are experiencing to be interesting. That certainly applies to Barbara Wilson in Walhalla. From her official weather station at the Hickory Hollow Farm, Wilson has been forced to try to decipher the various forms of precipitation that have reached the ground. For the past 24 hours, she reports ½” of ice. Add to that 1 ½” inches of snow overnight. Yesterday’s high temperature was the freezing mark: 32 degrees.  Richie Caudill, chief of Keowee Fire Department, reports a snowfall measurement of 3-4″ at Keowee key.
