You can catch July 4 fireworks in Seneca. But if you can’t wait for tomorrow night, there will be a fireworks display during Walhalla’s Independence Eve celebration starting at 9 tonight at soccer field—a block off Main Street. Here are some July 4 activities: Gates open at 4 tomorrow afternoon atSeneca’s Gignilliat Field. The Tams will perform and fireworks begin around 9:15. At South Cove Park near Seneca, the county park offers an inflatable water slide, a patriotic golf cart parade, music, and fireworks at 10:30. July 4 is a day of fun at Oconee State Park with field day games starting at 10. And at nearby Mountain Rest, July 4 is always Hillbilly Day. The mountain hamlet offers the state’s longest-running annual festival with an emphasis on crafts, children’s games, food, music, clogging, square dancing and the like. Free admission to Hillbilly Day from 9 a-m to 4 p-m.
