Jury qualifying begins

The Oconee Common Pleas judge gave a hint this afternoon that a trial alleging medical malpractice could last two weeks. This afternoon began the process of qualifying the jury pool to be considered for the jury. That panel is to hear testimony in the case of Russell Reynolds, personal representative of the estate of Dorothy Reynolds, against Sava Senior Care, also known as Seneca Health and Rehabilitation, and other defendants. Apparently it’s a case long in making for the courtroom, as Judge Maddox said the attorneys involved have been “raring to go” for a year and a half.
