Just for kids

August 31, 2012

The theme for tomorrow’s Oconee Appalachian Kids program at the Heritage Center in Walhalla will be apples. The program, from 1 to 2 p.m., begins with story time featuring the book ‘Apple Picking Time’ by Michelle Swanson. Assistant curator Jennifer Moss will discuss the area’s heritage of apple-growing and children get to put together an apple-themed craft. Every first Saturday of the month, Oconee Appalachian Kids allows Oconee children to understand more about the history and heritage of their county through books, activities and crafts.
