Krein applauds school district decision

The decision to release students early today is endorsed by Scott Krein, director of Oconee Emergency Services. “What we’re looking at is a variety of snow, rain, freezing rain—possibly on the trees and roads,” said Krein who added the school district has made the best decision. If the bad weather hits, he advises motorists to stay off the roads until the temperature rises above freezing. In the event of power outages, a second source of heat is advisable, but Krein says avoid fire by being careful with any external heating source.
