“Lakeview is their home”

 Oconee County’s small Lakeview Assisted Living Facility, to some, may be a place forgotten or ignored. But its importance is striking, according to Doug Wright. The executive director of Senior Solutions said it took him a couple of years to properly grasp the role that Lakeview plays for those seniors with basically nowhere to go. “The folks here depend on those who work here a great deal,” Wright said. With a 19-bed capacity, Lakeview 18 of those beds were filled yesterday. Wright and others gathered yesterday to thank the Verizon Foundation for a $10 thousand donation.
