Lattimore will not need second surgery

Gamecock star Marcus Lattimore will not a require a second surgery to repair damaged ligaments from an injury suffered against Tennessee on October 27.

South Carolina running backs coach Everett Sands told reporters Wednesday that Marcus Lattimore has already started the rehab process and is not going to need a second surgery on his injured right knee. Lattimore had an operation last week in Birmingham with Dr. James Andrews. They repaired all of Lattimore’s injured ligaments during the procedure to avoid another surgery. Sands said he did not have a timetable for when Lattimore’s return or if that return will be with the Gamecocks or the NFL.
