State Representative Bill Whitmire, Walhalla Republican, says he and the entire county delegation are concerned, and he has been in touch with the governor’s office. Whitmire recommends that every taxpayer, potentially affected, call the phone number to decide whether to take advantage of free one-year coverage from a private security company, Experian.
