League monitors ethics progress
A bill approved by the South Carolina Senate addresses ethics reform. It has been years in the making. Janie Shipley, the president of the League of the Women Voters in the Clemson Area, says this bill calls for independent ethics investigations of state lawmakers—an end to the practice of lawmakers investigating each other.
