Library trustees re-group

The chairman of Oconee’s library trustees looked back last night on the failed vote to raise funds to build new libraries and criticized those who campaigned against the referendum. Danny Day suggested the playing field for the November referendum was uneven. He told his fellow library trustees, “We were encumbered to tell the truth. Those who opposed us were not held to that standard and were not so encumbered.” The library board will now look to accomplish its projects by going to directly  the Oconee County Council.
