Library volunteers recognized

Those who volunteer for their public libraries were given a thank you during an event Friday, arranged by the Oconee Public Library. Branch Services librarian Blair Hinson says at a dinner two top awards were given out: Jean Mercer of the Friends of the Library went home with the Lucy Bellotte Moore Award. The Sarah Mills Norton award for overall volunteers went to Aaron Lewis. If you would like to volunteer in the libraries, let your interest be known.
