Liquor-by-the-drink vote today

Voters in the Franklin County, Georgia town of Carnesville are voting today on whether to allow liquor-by-the-drink. According to Lake Hartwell Radio WLHR, the referendum was created several months ago when the Carnesville city council approved putting a request from the owner of a restaurant to the electorate. The Carnesville mayor has said that, until today, the citizenry there has expressed very little opinion about the issues.
