Long Creek receives a Little Free Library

The Oconee Friends of the Library dedicated a Little Free Library Saturday afternoon at the Backwoods Visitors Center and Community Shoppe in Long Creek.  Built by West Oak High School students Patrick Woody and Dylan Driver, under the guidance of their teacher ,Andy Jacobs,  the Little Free Library is attached to the front of the building under the overhang.  It’s the third Little Free Library installed by the Friends of the Library.  The first two were in the Fair Play area.  Besides woodworking, the two students are involved in other community activities.  Patrick is active in the student ROTC at West Oak and has the rank of Staff Sergeant.  Dylan is on the golf team and is a junior firefighter with the Fair Play Volunteer Fire Department.
