Nearly $7 thousand worth of lottery tickets were taken in a weekend burglary at a store near Salem. The burglary at Little River General Store on highway 11 was discovered early Sunday morning when a passerby noticed an open front door and broken glass. Oconee sheriff’s officers appear to be on hot on the trail of the thieves, as there have been at least two reports of someone trying to cash some of the stolen tickets.
