Lottery’s benefit to OC

Since its start 10 years ago, the S.C. Education Lottery has poured back millions of dollars for Oconee County education interests. The lottery website, sceducationlottery.com, now displays an updated map of the county distribution. Select a county and left click your computer mouse to instantly see the funding that has impacted the selected county for college scholarships and grants, K-12 programs and county libraries. For Oconee: $7 million for K-12; 17 thousand scholarships; $24.5 million in scholarship amounts; and nearly $300 thousand for the libraries.
