Main Street resurfacing slated for Walhalla

June 5, 2013

A $500 thousand grant will allow for the resurfacing of Walhalla’s Main Street in its core commercial business area. City officials last night announced a verbal award of the grant has been followed by a letter from the county’s state “C” fund committee, the awarding agency. The resurfacing is to be done as part of Walhalla’s Streetscape project and, according to Mayor Danny Edwards, will take place after utility lines are relocated.
