Main Street worker likes this year’s lights

Walhalla may not have the blinding Christmas light display of years past.  But this year’s is better, in the opinion of a downtown restaurant worker who gave her opinion today to 96.3/WGOG NEWS.  Laurie Barnes likes what she sees this year, but still hopes for something better.  And here is her reasoning:  “It looks better, but like I said, for Walhalla to be the tourist attraction it is and to be one of the prettiest towns….I think they could do better,” she said today.  We spoke to Barnes outside Martha’s Marketplace Cafe and a drizzly, foggy morning.  One of those mornings, she wishes, that the city had left the lights on from last night.
