Man charged with removing electronic device

By late yesterday afternoon, an Oconee man sat in jail accused by authorities of removing an electronic monitoring device.  The Sheriff’s Office also announced the charge of malicious injury to personal property against Joshua Scott Ivester.  He has been denied bond on both charges.  For parts of yesterday the 31-year old Ivester was the object of a lookout by officers.  Reported seen in the Townville area Ivester, according to the Sheriff’s Office, was taken into custody on the Hunt Road near South Carolina 24.
