A unanimous vote by the Westminster City Council means the city’s Annual Mayberry Day Festival is a go for 2013. At a council meeting Tuesday, festival organizer Tom Rusk told the council that the festival earlier this year drew an estimated 12,000 people to the city of Westminster. Rusk says around 20 percent of those came from more than 50 miles away. The council approved $10,000 for the 3rd Annual Event Mayberry Day festival, which is scheduled for spring 2013.
