Mayfest a day away!

Parts of Walhalla downtown will be transformed tomorrow for the start of the two-day Wahalla Mayfest Art of Living. Vanessa Penton, chamber of commerce executive director, says Mayfest is one of those annual festivals that mean good things for the downtown merchants and the city, in general. And, for Mayfest 2015, there’s something new. It’s a display of classic cars at Kaufman Square, where the Depot is located. Other festival attendess can shag dance under the park pavilion to the sounds of the Dave Tilley Project and its beach and golden oldies. At 9 Saturday morning, the 2nd Annual Parade of Bikes will take place on S. Catherine Street, with a police presence stressing bicycle safety. Throughout the two days there will be music, entertainment, and food.
