Mayor to bid for four more years

Seneca’s long time mayor is staking an early claim to be returned to office in 2016.  Only moments after last night’s announcement of Seneca’s March 8 election, Dan Alexander disclosed to 101.7/WGOG NEWS he will ask the city’s voters to send him back for a new, four-year term.  Besides the office of mayor, Seneca voters will choose four members of their city council.  The seats now held by Ronnie O’Kelley, Al Gaines, Dana Moore, and Anthony Smith are expiring, and each man is eligible to run again.  During last night’s work session, City Clerk-Treasurer Joel Seavey announced that Senecans interested in the offices may file candidacies with City Hall between December 7 and 18.
