McPhail to help lead education webcast

To shine a light on land use issues, the South Carolina Association of Counties is looking to an Oconee County agriculturist. And Tom Martin, the Oconee County Attorney, says the selection of Gwen McPhail as a participant in next month’s educational webcast planned by the Association of Counties is an important recognition of both McPhail and her home county. During the May 16 webcast titled, “Current Planning and Zoning Issues for Urban and Rural Communities”, McPhail’s part will center on agricultural issues in land use. She is a member of the Oconee Planning Commission and part of a family cattle operation in the southern part of the county.
