Meth danger on the highways

Family members picking up trash this weekend near Westminster found suspicious items on the Cleveland Pike Road. Narcotics agents secured the broken batteries and empty packages of Sudafed. No official determination yet on whether they, along with piles of syringes and bottles of a white powder substance, amount to methamphetamine debris. But, as winter gives way to spring, many people will take to the roadside to pick up trash. Oconee Sheriff’s Office urges everyone to be careful. Meth can be made in 2-litre drink bottles, and those types of bottles are often discarded on the sides of roads. And one of the ingredients used to make meth is Pseudo ephedrine. If you find such material, best thing to do is walk away and contact law enforcement.
