Mike Crane was the longest serving Ranger

Maxie Gates or Don Bollinger…no matter what other forest ranger you name. No one served longer than Mike Crane. But the former Oklahoman has finished his career with the U-S Forest Service, as the longest serving ranger within the Andrew Pickens District of the Sumter National Forest. Crane retired in April after 16 years. Jen Barnhart is acting district ranger, while the process continues to appoint Crane’s successor. The federal government advertised for a new Andrew Pickens ranger, and those applications are now being reviewed.
