Mishap for Lake Jocassee diver

A man required medical treatment Saturday when he felt ill during a deep dive in water 300 feet deep in Lake Jocassee. At the time, he was part of an outing led by commercial divers. According to responders, the man began a slow ascent to the surface and was able to make required decompression stops while ascending. He wound up being sent by helicopter to be treated in a hyperbaric chamber to reduce the potential effects from the pressure changes on the body from diving at deep depths.
