Missing Georgian found in Oconee

A 44-year old Georgia man, missing since the middle of November, has been found alive and well in Oconee County. He is Elbert County resident Amos Rucker. According to Darren Scarborough of the Elbert Sheriff’s Office, Amos Rucker was found yesterday morning when Oconee deputies conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in which Rucker was a passenger. He did not appear to be in any danger, but there was no immediate word on why he did not notify friends and relatives of his whereabouts. The traffic stop that Oconee officers initiated is believed to have occurred in the parking lot of a restaurant near Miracle Circle.
