Missing swimmers OK!

On a morning when the water temperature apparently is warmer than the surface air, three boys decided to go for a swim in Lake Keowee. They created concern for adults who feared they might have drowned. But all’s well that ended well this morning in the Ebenezer Community. Shane Gibbs of Oconee Emergency Services says the three, 13-year olds were found safe about six houses down from the spot they entered the water. According to Gibbs, a homeowner spotted the boys, alerted authorities, and an assembled rescue operation was called off. The scene was the Cypress Bay area of the lake.
