Mize case resolved, removed from trial docket

A plea late last week in Laurens County resolved criminal charges facing an Oconee County resident.  A Laurens judge accepted the guilty plea from Timothy Mark Mize, who had been charged by presenting false claims to insurance companies.  The defendant’s attorney, Deputy Public Defender Danny Day, said Mize was allowed to plead to misdemeanor offenses and was ordered to serve a 30-day jail sentence, which he may satisfy by serving weekends in his home county of Oconee.  The plea and sentence remove the Mize case from the docket of this week’s term of Oconee General Sessions Court in Walhalla.
