*Some students camping out for Clemson/Georgia football tickets were awarded with those tickets Monday morning. Some were simply too late. Students began camping out as early as a week ago to get coveted tickets for the Top-ten match-up between the Tigers and Bulldogs at Death Valley this Saturday night. Tickets were distributed Monday morning beginning at 7:30 AM, first to IPTAY members, then students. One father of a Clemson student we spoke with said his son was in line by 5:00 AM Monday, but was too late. In fact, those in line anytime after 6:00 PM Sunday, failed to get a ticket.
*In the majors on Sunday, Mike Minor bounced back from the shortest outing of his career with seven strong innings, leading Atlanta to a 5-2 win against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Braves are off Monday, before beginning a three-game set with Cleveland on Tuesday.

*In the NFL, the Carolina Panthers signed free agent offensive lineman and former Gamecock Travelle Wharton. Wharton spent his first 8 season with Carolina before signing with the Bengals in 2012. He then suffered a season ending knee injury.
*Vin Scully will be back fora 65th season as the play-by-play guy for baseball’s LA Dodgers. Vin is now 85 years old and the Dodgers PR guys say he’ll continue to call all nine innings of the home games beginning next year, as well as road games in California and Arizona.
