Moonshine rap pinned on 21-year old

A 21-year old Oconeean turned himself over this morning to law enforcement authorities and faces charges from yesterday’s moonshine liquor bust near Westminster. The Sheriff’s Office has announced two charges against Colby Edward Watts: possession of a distillery for the purpose of manufacturing alcoholic liquors and possession of materials used in the manufacture of alcoholic liquors. He has been released on a personal recognizance bond, but faces an April 11 court hearing. “He has been cooperative with law enforcement during this investigation,” according to Oconee Sheriff Mike Crenshaw. “While the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents main focus has been to concentrate on other illegal drugs such as methamphetamine, they will continue to address illegal alcohol complaints when they are received.”
