Motorcyclist hurt in SC 130 accident

The highway patrol has released details of an early morning accident yesterday on South Carolina 130—not far from the Oconee Nuclear Station. Lance Corporal Bill Ryne said the accident occurred on 130 occurred at Keowee River Road and involved a motorcycle driven by Tywan Smith of Central and a car driven by Glen Gendron, 19, of Six Mile. Smith required hospital treatment. The investigating trooper issued Gendron a citation charging failure to yield right of way. According to the patrol, the accident occurred as the car was leaving Keowee River Road to turn onto 130.
