Motorcyclist issued five tickets

A chase that reached 90 miles an hour on country roads near Seneca ended with Oconee sheriff’s officers capturing their subject and five traffic tickets against the driver. For the violation of failing to observe a stop sign, deputies chased a motorcyclist from SC 24 at Coneross Creek Road, to Sitton Mill Road, to Woody Terry Road, to Friendship Road and, finally, to E. Reedy Fork Road, near the motorcyclist’s home. All of this started at 1 o’clock yesterday morning….and ended with five traffic tickets issued to Jamie Wayne Songer, 26 years old. Those tickets allege disregarding a stop sign, no proof of insurance, improper vehicle license, defacement of license plate, and failure to stop for a blue light. Songer was sent to jail and the motorcycle towed.
