Multiple charges arise from incident near Westminster

Multiple charges have been placed against a 31-year old man as the result of crimes that Oconee sheriff’s officers say were committed yesterday near Westminster.  The Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Jonathan David Crooks, 31 years old, on charges of kidnapping and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.  Among the charges against Crooks is the allegation that he kicked and used his fists to beat a woman four and a half months pregnant.
