Murder trial delayed to February

A prosecutor says not all test results will be available Monday from the state police lab. And Deputy Solicitor David Wagner confirmed today that next week’s scheduled trial, in which Westminster resident Shane Adam Burdette, is charged with murder will be delayed one month—until the February term of the Oconee General Sessions Court. At the age of 34, Burdette was arrested in the summer of 2013 and charged with murder in the shooting death of Seneca resident James Evan Tyner on the Mount Pleasant Road in the Blackjack Community. The shooting death of Tyner occurred next door to a church, and authorities said a shotgun was found in the front yard of the homicide scene.
