Name changes at Oconee Medical Center

August 6, 2014

“We will be announcing the names of all of the parts of our organization in a week or so.” That’s the reply this morning from an Oconee Medical Center official to the question of whether OMC, as part of the affiliation with Greenville Health System, will revert to its former name—Oconee Memorial Hospital. Hunter Kome, chief OMC operating officer, said, “As part of Greenville Health System, we will follow their naming standards. We will let you know as soon as all of the names are finalized.” OMH switched to OMC prior to the opening of the hospital’s patient tower building in 2009.
