National Day of Prayer will be marked in Seneca with a rally at 6 o’clock downtown in the Norton-Thompson Park. Special speaker will be Dan Scott, radio announcer and the voice of Furman University athletics. Scott has started a foundation to help children who have been sexually, physically and mentally abused. Mayor Dan Alexander will have a part in tonight’s event. His Honor will lead a special prayer for local and national governments. The National Day of Prayer was started in 1988 and held the first Thursday in May.
