New fire substation to be dedicated for Dacusville

The new Dacusville fire substation in Pickens County will be dedicated during a 2 o’clock ceremony Sunday afternoon, October 16 at 120 Hamilton Road in Marietta. Refreshments will be served from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with the ceremony to start at 3. Once the speakers finish, a plaque will be presented that recognizes all those who were involved in the substation planning and construction. There will also be a fire hose uncoupling ceremony, similar to a ribbon cutting ceremony.
