New leadership is in place within the Oconee Planning Commission. At its meeting, the commissioners last night elected Walhalla area resident David Lyle chairman. Ryan Honea of Fair Play, who had been chairman, made the motion to name Lyle. Seneca’s William Gilster was chosen vice chairman. A town home project is headed to the Seneca area. According to a report by zoning administrator Josh Stephens, Trustmark of Alabama plans to build a nine-building complex on the E. Perkins Creek Road.
