New policies cover Clemson fraternities and sororities

ClemsonUniversity has announced a comprehensive plan covering the conduct of its fraternities and sororities.  The plan is aimed toward creating a culture of safety, accountability, and obedience to rules among the chapters.  Specifically, there are what Clemson calls strategies to eliminate hazing, alcohol abuse, sexual misconduct and biased actions.  The plan comes nearly a year after the still unexplained death of a Clemson fraternity member, Tucker Hipps, in OconeeCounty.
